Why wasn't I informed?!? -- Part 2

Okay, I just ran through EBGames.com's list of pre-owned titles -- and found that there are more that I've missed. This really bites my bum, because I've done this exercise several times before.

Here are the newly found missing children:

  • Test Drive Offroad: Wide Open -- This was my mistake. I thought this was the full title for Test Drive.
  • NBA Starting Five -- Dunno how I missed this. I certainly knew it was out there.
  • Freestlye Street Soccer -- Huh? Sports title: my eyes must have glazed over. Several times.
  • Mojo! -- Okay, this one really chaps my hide because I've researched it twice in the past year, and from what I could determine, it had only been released for PAL systems, not NTSC. Yet today, there it was, big as life, available on EBGames.com. It certainly wasn't there the last couple of times I looked.

Now I wonder about other titles that I thought were either vaporware or just not released in North America: was Conan The Barbarian ever released for NTSC? Did TransWorld Skateboarding ever make it onto the Xbox? Did F1 2001 and F1 2002 break the PS2 barrier? Is Puyo Pop Fever really an Xbox title?

EDIT: According to Xbox.com, F1 2001 was a launch title. I have not been able to find a copy anywhere. Looks like I need to make a new eBay bot.

  • Some help:

Freestlye Street Soccer - Blockbuster Exclusive. I've seen tons of these at GameRush. I can get you a new/gently used copy if you want to send me your address.

Mojo! - I've only seen this at Toys R' Us new, but I've seen it at GameRush used. Same deal, I'll pick one up for you if you want.

  • I appreciate the help, Kojubat, but I was able to find both in a pre-owned state on EBGames.com -- that's how I found out they existed: by browsing their online "pre-owned bins."

I didn't know FSS was a Blockbuster deal. Interesting. The only other games I've seen distributed that way are the two 9 (More) Holes of Xmas games and Outlaw Volleyball: Red Hot.

The nice thing about EBGames.com is that I can get a 15% discount on all of their pre-owned titles and they guarantee that everything is working and complete. The bad thing about EB is that I have to pay sales tax. (Darn reciprocal agreements.)

  • No problem.

There is also a code to get free shipping on any order than includes a pre-owned item from EBGames.com. Use SAVER to get free basic shipping.

  • Thanks Koj. SAVER is a good coupon, but in this case, PPLAY15 was the better deal. (15% off of all pre-played titles.)

As you can imagine, I try to keep up with all of the game vendor's discount codes. The one that really ticks me off is Gamestop: For over two years I've been able to get free three-day UPS delivery using the code "3D75". In June of this year, they stopped supporting the code. :( This was a great savings for me, since pre-orders are shipped separately, even if they are released the same day. So now I do UPS ground with Gamestop. (It's still cheaper than paying TN sales tax through EBGames.com.)

  • For EB, you can combine CAG15 and SAVER to get 15% and free shipping.

For Gamestop, 25VALUE gives free value shipping for orders over $25.
