Hummus!
This was my lunch today from Diet-to-Go. It's one of my absolute favorites: Hummus with warmed pita bread, string cheese and citrus.I love this stuff and had no idea until today what it is. According to Wikipedia, hummus is chickpea paste.
According to the Two Sheiks web-site, both Plato and Socrates wrote about the benefits of hummus.
Whatever it is, I like it -- even if it does look like a pile of glop.

Welcome to the world of Arab cuisine! I recommend trying Kous-kous, Tabouleh, and Kibbee. Stuffed grape leaves are also another favorite.

The punishment reference was to the amount of food eaten not what type. I love Hummus.

Silverblood -- I get a lot of cous-cous every couple of weeks as well. But that's something that my mom had fixed occaisionally when I was a kid, so it wasn't new to me.
I've heard of tabouleh, but kibbee is a new one.

Pete, I reread it, and I still failed to see where you explicitly stated that you were not knocking on Arab cuisine. Maybe mention it that way next time instead of saying "That's not a diet it's a punishment."

You guys crack me up. I'd eat it even if I didn't know what it was. As long as it doesn't look/smell like poop, and it was to be completely dead.
